Elders

Jon Fry

I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home. I realized, however, that I must personally turn from my sin and trust completely in Christ. After salvation, God kept challenging my heart to serve the Lord as a missionary. I am thrilled that God has allowed me to serve as pastor in the beautiful mission field of New England since 2011. I love being able to study God’s Word each day and then share what I learn with the church.

I'm thrilled to serve as an elder at Grace Bible Church; my wife, Lisa, serves in various ways. Our heart's desire is to see faith in our God passed from one generation to  the next. I was blessed to grow up in a pastor's home and have heard God's truth taught ever since I can remember.  As a young boy, I  came to know pretty early that I was a sinner, and accepted Christ as my Savior. We were married in 1985 and have been at Grace ever since. God has blessed us with four children, and we have loved watching them grow up at Grace.  We are thankful for the "bonus" kids that God has blessed us with two daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law, as well as 7 grandchildren.

My wife Claire and I met in 1970, were married in 1974, and each accepted the Lord in 1976 and have been serving at Grace Bible Church ever since.  We are currently involved in the One-on-One Discipleship, Junior Church, Heart to Heart, and the Car Show Ministries at Grace.  God has allowed us to use our spiritual gifts to share the gospel with people in our community and to help new believers grow in the Lord.

I accepted Christ at an early age and began to demonstrate an interest in serving the Lord with my life in the ministry. This desire was developed through opportunities I’ve had to minister through the local church in a variety of contexts, including working with youth, going on missions trips, and being involved in inner-city ministry. I am excited to be a part of GBC and use the gifts that God has given me to grow and disciple His church.
